The Facts: When a roustabout’s employer refused to recognize its obligation of maintenance and cure to a crewmember who became ill while in service to an inland drilling barge, Lambert Zainey took the case to trial before United States District Court Judge Susie Morgan, sitting in Admiralty in the Eastern District of Louisiana in New Orleans, LA.
Our Results: Lambert Zainey’s maritime lawyers took the case to trial and obtained a verdict in favor of Mr. Jefferson and against the employer forcing the company to pay maintenance and cure for the roustabout’s medical expenses, living expenses, as well as compensatory damages during his illness.
